Which company will you be joining as a “T&I ENGINEER – OFFSHORE WIND PROJECT (M/F)”?

We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients, a "T&I ENGINEER – OFFSHORE WIND PROJECT (M/F)” for a 12-month contract with the possibility of renewal.  The role is located in Île-de-France (France) and involves regular travel to Hamburg (Germany). This is a residential position with no rotation scheme.

 

“T&I ENGINEER – OFFSHORE WIND PROJECT (M/F)” What will your missions and responsibilities be?

The T&I Engineer will be responsible for supporting the engineering and execution preparation activities related to the German Offshore Wind NSE1 and NSE3 projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • In preparation for the execution phase, support the Package Lead in refining and implementing the contractual strategy for T&I operations related to IAC (including specific equipment, CPS stabilization, etc.) in a highly competitive Offshore Wind market environment requiring early commitments
  • Participate in the tendering process, including bid evaluations, recommendations for award, and negotiations with potential contractors
  • Contribute to the revision and validation of technical specifications and employer’s requirements
  • Collaborate with the Contracts & Procurement (C&P) team for final T&I contract awards and follow-up
  • Support the T&I Package Manager in preparing budgets and resource plans aligned with future project phases
  • Ensure strong coordination and effective collaboration between Contractor and Company teams during tender and subsequent phases
  • Contribute to the project interface matrix and manage:
    • External technical interfaces of the T&I package with other project packages (WTG, Foundations, TSO Offshore Substation, O&M), and
    • Internal interfaces with teams responsible for permitting, certification, and environmental topics
  • Provide support in procurement activities related to IAC in coordination with the IAC Supply Lead
  • Maintain close coordination with the Permitting and Certification Teams (based in Hamburg), ensuring full compliance with German regulatory requirements for project execution
  • Support the development of the Project Safety Philosophy for the construction and installation phase (including at marshalling harbours, if applicable) and ensure effective management of contractor safety plans
  • Assist in developing the Project Quality System for the T&I scope, including engineering, logistics, lifting operations, and marine activities, and contribute to implementing a specific surveillance plan for contracted scopes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and supply chain managers to ensure local content targets are achieved
  • Ensure design decisions and change management are validated through market engagement, cost-benefit studies, ad hoc logistics analyses, weather downtime assessments, and risk analysis
  • Perform logistics studies and coordinate with package managers (WTG, FOU, O&M) to secure timely delivery of main equipment to the marshalling harbour (if required for IAC) or to project ports

 

What profile and skills are required for this “T&I ENGINEER – OFFSHORE WIND PROJECT (M/F)” role?

Technical Requirements

  • Education: Engineering degree, preferably in Marine Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in Offshore & Marine engineering, particularly related to Offshore Wind
    • Strong expertise in offshore IAC T&I activities within Offshore Wind projects
    • Hands-on experience in offshore execution phases (fabrication and installation of IAC), preferably in Germany
    • Previous technical background in offshore wind operations, with solid understanding of the technical and safety regulatory framework (preferably German)
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including international teams, vendors, subcontractors, affiliates, and headquarters
    • Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities (English mandatory, German recommended)
    • Aptitude for building and maintaining constructive relationships with contractors at all levels
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Experience in preparing and issuing technical and execution plans and procedures related to T&I activities
    • Experience in developing and managing T&I-specific CFTs (Calls for Tender) leading to contract awards with T&I contractors
