What kind of structure will you be joining as an automation & control engineer?

 

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients in the nuclear sector for an automation & control engineer, to be based in La Hague, Normandy (France – 50).

You will join a team in charge of control and automation systems for nuclear facilities. You will provide your expertise on studies, technical monitoring, and functional analysis of automated systems.

 

Automation & control engineer – What will your responsibilities include?

 

Main tasks:

 

  • Conducting functional studies and writing technical specifications
  • Monitoring implementation and validating technical documentation
  • Acting as an interface with project, instrumentation, and electrical teams
  • Participating in testing phases and commissioning when required

 

What profile and skills are required for this role?

 

Education:

 

  • Engineering degree in automation, control systems, or industrial computing

 

Experience:

 

  • Experience in a nuclear or highly regulated industrial environment is required

 

Technical skills:

 

  • Proficiency in Schneider systems (PLC, SCADA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of standards such as EMC, IEC 61508, and IEC 61513 is a plus
  • Strong documentation skills, analytical mindset, and good team spirit
