In which organization will you be working as a Facilities/HVAC Engineer?

We are looking for a Facilities / HVAC Engineer for one of our clients in the Oil & Gas sector, providing support for offshore operations.

Facilities / HVAC Engineer: What will your missions and responsibilities be?

As a Facilities / HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for the reliability of ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and other critical facilities (UTE, cold rooms) across a range of offshore units. You will ensure the proper execution of preventive and corrective maintenance while anticipating failures and managing renovation projects. Your responsibilities include:

Maintenance Management and Technical Support:

  • Lead corrective and preventive maintenance plans for HVAC and ventilation systems.

  • Review existing PMOCs and optimize their implementation.

  • Support offshore teams (MS, EIS, HVAC TECH) by providing continuous technical expertise.

  • Organize and anticipate maintenance operations based on operational constraints.

 

Renovation Project Planning:

  • Develop and guide a long-term renovation plan for ventilation systems.

  • Collect modification requirements and participate in Management of Change (MoC) procedures.

  • Propose equipment improvements to enhance their efficiency and safety.

 

Spare Parts Tracking and Digital Tools:

  • Ensure SAP is updated to track critical spare parts.

  • Manage the availability of critical HVAC parts and maintain a strategic stock.

  • Handle requests for external support or specific technical studies.

 

Failure Anticipation and Safety Compliance:

  • Proactively identify potential issues that may impact productivity.

  • Implement corrective actions to ensure the safety and availability of facilities.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and oversee their application by field teams.

 

What profile and skills are required for this Facilities/HVAC Engineer position?

Education:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Active CREA registration required.

 

Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in oil production facilities, specializing in HVAC maintenance.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in HVAC and ventilation systems in an offshore environment.

  • Knowledge of SAP and stock management.

  • Experience in managing maintenance plans (preventive and corrective).

  • Ability to manage renovation projects on critical assets.

 

Personal Skills:

  • Proactive, autonomous, and capable of anticipating failures.

  • Team player, highly organized, good interpersonal skills.

  • Initiative-driven with excellent communication and reporting abilities.
