In which structure will you be a Siemens Railway Automation Engineer?

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients in the railway sector for a Siemens Railway Automation Engineer, based in Paris.
 
Siemens Railway Automation Engineer: What will your missions and responsibilities be?

  • Program and configure Siemens PLCs (S7, TIA Portal, etc.) for railway applications (signaling, switches, level crossings, safety systems)
  • Develop and integrate supervision and control systems (e.g., WinCC, PCS7) related to railway installations
  • Participate in the design, testing, validation, and commissioning phases of equipment on site
  • Perform diagnostics, corrective and preventive maintenance of automated systems
  • Ensure safety, reliability, and availability of installations in compliance with railway and functional safety standards
  • Collaborate with engineering teams (signaling, electrical, telecommunications) to ensure proper integration of automation into the infrastructure
  • Prepare technical documentation (plans, diagrams, procedures, test reports)
  • Stay up to date with Siemens solutions and innovations in railway automation
 
What profile and skills are required for this Siemens Railway Automation Engineer position?

  • Proficiency in Siemens PLCs (S7, TIA Portal) and supervision tools (WinCC, PCS7)
  • Knowledge of railway systems (signaling, train control, switch automation, fixed installations)
  • Skills in electricity, electrotechnics, and instrumentation
  • Understanding of railway safety standards (SIL, EN 50126/28/29, etc.)
  • Analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and automation diagrams
  • Autonomy, rigor, and strong teamwork skills
