What kind of structure will you be joining as a biodiversity manager?
We are recruiting a biodiversity manager (M/F) on a permanent contract (CDI) based in Issy-les-Moulineaux.
Biodiversity manager (M/F): What will your missions and responsibilities be?
Within the Biodiversity Division, you will oversee the company’s biodiversity policy and address environmental challenges linked to the operation of the residential housing portfolio. You will lead strategic projects to adapt the property assets to environmental issues.
Your main responsibilities include:
Management of biodiversity-related contracts:
- Participation in operating tenders (green spaces, tree assessments, recreational areas)
- Drafting tender documents (DCE), managing consultations through to contract award
- Defining technical requirements and ensuring compliance during implementation
Implementation and monitoring of biodiversity policy:
- Developing and leading the biodiversity policy
- Monitoring innovations in the field (ecological management, certifications, etc.)
- Rolling out the policy internally and supporting its evolution
Management of cross-functional projects:
- Leading renaturation projects or large-scale adaptation campaigns for the residential portfolio
- Enhancing tenant comfort through ecological improvements
Technical monitoring of the portfolio:
- Monitoring of tree-related assets
- Defining biodiversity performance indicators and ensuring proper reporting
Biodiversity focal point within the organization:
- Supporting operational teams and support departments (local presence, construction, CSR, etc.)
- Providing guidance on drafting specifications, internal procedures, and communication actions
What profile and skills are required for this biodiversity manager role?
Technical skills:
- Strong knowledge of biodiversity fundamentals: soils, vegetation, ecological management, certifications
- Hands-on experience in green space planning and maintenance
- Ability to manage cross-functional projects and handle public procurement
Soft skills:
- Strong sensitivity to environmental issues and pragmatic implementation skills
- Excellent writing abilities, synthesis skills, and interpersonal ease
- Ability to simplify technical topics and bring various stakeholders together
Profile sought:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g. ITIAPE engineer, Agro Rennes-Angers, Landscape Planning Degree, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of biodiversity or green spaces
- Background in consultancy, specialist firms, or project ownership (ideally within residential housing)
