We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients, a " BUSINESS DEVELOPER – ENERGY (M/F)” for a 12-month renewable contract based in Ile-de-France, France (with 1 to 2 days of remote work per week).

The Business Developer is responsible for driving sales growth, strengthening product presence, and supporting distributors and subsidiaries across the Network and B2B perimeter.

What profile and skills are required for this " BUSINESS DEVELOPPER – ENERGY (M/F)” role?
We are looking for a bilingual “Business Developper (M/F)” with strong sales experience, including in developing markets. Knowledge of energy access challenges would be an advantage.

" BUSINESS DEVELOPER – ENERGY (M/F)” What will your missions and responsibilities be?
Objectives and Deliverables
The Business Developer is responsible for driving sales growth, strengthening product presence, and supporting distributors and subsidiaries across the Network and B2B perimeter.
1. Network Sales Development
- Ensure 100% product availability in stations
- Implement commercial action plans with distributors, covering both cash and credit sales models
- Set sales targets, methods, and tools for each distributor/retailer and maintain regular field visits to clients and prospects
- Formalize contractual agreements with distributors and last-mile retailers
- Monitor portfolio performance and profitability of commercial initiatives
- Coordinate promotional activities to boost sales volumes
- Expand sales within existing B2B market segments and develop country-specific action plans
- Maintain regular contact with clients and prospects through subsidiaries and structured field visits
- Oversee the recently launched e-commerce activity in France and roll out the model to other countries
- Assess market potential, product demand, consumption patterns, and resale channels
- Identify leading distribution players and B2B customers with strong solar solution needs
- Conduct ongoing market monitoring: pricing, competition, and product benchmarking
- Share market insights with headquarters to adjust the product offering
- Adapt the product and service range to each channel, setting recommended retail and resale prices
- Formalize terms and conditions with subsidiaries
- Define merchandising tools and methods tailored to each point-of-sale type
- Assess prospects using defined criteria and negotiate within the authorized framework.
- Validate sales objectives and commercialization methods with subsidiaries and legal teams
- Train distributor sales teams and ensure proper deployment of products
- Support distributors in prospecting, selling, promoting, and launching products
- Provide first-level technical assistance
- Monitor monthly performance and hold semi-annual performance review meetings with KPI analysis
- Support sales teams in each subsidiary and ensure monthly monitoring of activities
- Organize training sessions and ensure product range deployment
- Assist subsidiaries in prospecting, selling, promoting, and launching products.
- Validate objectives and commercialization methods and provide first-level technical assistance
