Construction supervisor – E&I – Onshore (M/F)

What kind of company will you be joining as an Construction supervisor – E&I – Onshore?

 

We are currently looking for an E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) Construction Supervisor for one of our clients in the Oil & Gas sector, for an onshore site assignment as part of industrial installation or maintenance projects.

 

Construction supervisor – E&I – Onshore – What will your responsibilities be?

 

You will be part of the Onshore Operations department, responsible for supervising the installation and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems, in full compliance with applicable technical standards and HSE requirements.

Your key responsibilities include:

 

Technical Supervision and Coordination

  • Supervise teams of electricians and instrumentation technicians
  • Ensure proper execution of works in accordance with drawings (P&IDs, single-line diagrams, layouts, etc.)
  • Oversee mechanical completion (MC) tests and punch list resolution
  • Work closely with the construction planner to coordinate planning, manpower, and resources

 

Quality, Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure installations are carried out in accordance with international standards (CompEx EX01-04, IEC, etc.)
  • Supervise installation of equipment in ATEX zones (panels, cables, junctions, terminations)
  • Apply Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to secure interventions
  • Take part in quality audits and site inspections

 

Reporting & Progress Monitoring

  • Monitor work progress and provide daily and weekly reports
  • Participate in the preparation of work permits (PTW)
  • Report to the Senior Construction Supervisor and the project team

 

What profile and skills are required for this Construction supervisor – E&I – Onshore ?

 

Education

  • Technical diploma or training in electrical or instrumentation fields
  • CompEx EX01-04 certification is mandatory

 

Experience

  • Proven experience in supervising E&I works on Oil & Gas projects
  • Knowledge of hazardous environments (ATEX zones)
  • Ability to read and interpret execution drawings (P&IDs, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, etc.)
  • Familiarity with mechanical completion processes (walkdowns, punch lists, loop checks, etc.)

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in LV/HV systems, motors, UPS systems, protection relays, and earthing
  • Experience with cable laying and tray installation activities
  • Solid knowledge of quality management systems and HSE procedures

 

Language

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

 

License

  • Valid driver’s license (UAE or equivalent)
