In which structure will you be Contract Engineer?
We are recruiting for one of our clients, a major industrial player involved in the energy transition, a Contract Engineer based in Dunkirk (59).
Contract Engineer: What will your missions and responsibilities be?
As a Contract Engineer, you will be responsible for managing project subcontracts from preparation (tendering) to execution. You will ensure that contracts are properly established and executed in accordance with the company's standards and expectations. This includes construction and engineering contracts. Your main responsibilities will include:
· Analyzing and responding to change orders and claims from construction contractors
· Collaborating with the Procurement and Cost Control departments
· Supporting project managers in contract management and ensuring proper documentation
· Driving the contracting strategy and developing standard contract templates
· Leading contractual discussions during tender phases and coordinating with the Legal department
· Auditing compliance with contract management standards
What profile and skills are required for this Contract Engineer position?
You hold an engineering degree in construction, industrial, mechanical, or civil engineering, and have at least 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably with experience in managerial or procurement-related roles. You have worked on EPC projects exceeding €100 million, either on the client or contractor side. Experience in arbitration and knowledge of French contract law are considered assets.
You are organized, detail-oriented, committed, and possess excellent written communication skills in English. You are capable of working under pressure and are fluent in English. A B2 level in French is required, and Spanish at B2 level is a plus. You are proficient with IT tools such as MS Office and 3D software (e.g., AutoCAD).
