What kind of structure will you be joining as a Control & Safety System Engineer?  

We are looking for a Control & Safety System Engineer for one of our clients in the energy sector, based in La Défense.  

Control & Safety System Engineer : What will your missions and responsibilities be?  

As a Control & Safety System Engineer, your responsibilities will include:  
  • Developing or updating technical specifications for control systems (DCS – Distributed Control System / SIS – Safety Instrumented System).
  • Designing or modifying integrated control system architectures (ICSS).
  • Participating in basic and detailed ICSS studies.
  • Monitoring internal and/or external interfaces.
  • Contributing to validations related to the installation of control systems, safety, fire detection, and gas detection systems (e.g., quantitative assessments of cabinets, typical loops…).
  • Preparing functional specifications: functional analyses, control narratives, cause-effect matrices, logical diagrams.
  • Participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
What profile and skills are required for this Control & Safety System Engineer position?  

Education: Engineering degree with a specialization in automation, instrumentation, or control systems.  

Experience: Proven experience on Oil & Gas projects, preferably in offshore and/or onshore environments.  

Technical Skills:  
  • Proficiency in the specificities of control and safety systems in Oil & Gas.
  • Strong knowledge of ICSS networks and architectures.
  • Understanding of LNG processes and Fire & Gas (F&G) rules.
  • Experience in interface coordination (internal teams, partners, suppliers…).
  • Familiarity with standards and regulations: ISA 5.1 to 5.6, IEC 61511, IEC 62443. TUV QUALI-SIL certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in office tools (Word, Excel, Visio).
Languages: Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
