Lifting / Works & HSE Coordinator: What will your duties and responsibilities be?
Plan, prepare and obtain approval for lifting plans (cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts); draft risk assessments, method statements and work permits. hse.gov.uk
Coordinate mechanical and heavy-handling works during unit shutdowns, liaising with operations, maintenance and contractors.
Ensure full HSE compliance: safety briefings, field inspections, PPE audits, incident investigation and follow-up of corrective actions. altea-energy.com
Keep regulatory documents up to date (contractor interface plans, lifting registers) and monitor QHSE KPIs.
Contribute to continuous-improvement programs (ISO 45001 / 14001) and to the site’s biomass-conversion project.
What profile and skills are required for this Lifting / Works & HSE Coordinator position?
Education
Higher technical diploma or engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance or QHSE.
Certified lifting supervisor (e.g., R484 or equivalent); H0B0 electrical clearance; HSE qualification (NEBOSH IGC or similar).
Experience
5-8 years on industrial sites (power, petrochemical, offshore) coordinating complex lifts and HSE activities.
Proven track record during major turnarounds managing multi-discipline contractors.
Skills
Sound knowledge of lifting standards (EN 13000, FEM), French labour law and HSE frameworks (ISO 45001/14001).
Ability to read drawings, calculate loads and use lifting-simulation software.
Strong field leadership, safety culture, fluent French with good English.
