What kind of structure will you be joining as a Corrosion engineer?
We are looking for a corrosion engineer for one of our clients in the energy sector, based in La Défense (Nanterre), France.
Corrosion engineer – What will your missions and responsibilities be?
As a Corrosion Engineer, your tasks will include:
- Performing material selection and corrosion risk assessment
- Developing corrosion control philosophies, corrosion management programs, and material selection reports
- Running corrosion rate predictions using modeling software
- Defining corrosion monitoring requirements for material requisitions and technical bid evaluations
- Managing corrosion monitoring requests and reviewing vendor documents with respect to schedule constraints
- Attending meetings with clients and partners
- Managing interfaces with other engineering disciplines
- Delivering high-quality outputs: collected data must be accurate, and assumptions clearly documented and logically structured
- Providing weekly activity reports to the Materials & Welding Lead of the project
What profile and skills are required for this corrosion engineer position?
Education: Master’s degree (MSc) in Engineering, ideally in Materials, Metallurgy, or Corrosion
Experience: At least 10 years of experience in corrosion engineering, with a strong understanding of engineering processes within Oil & Gas projects
Technical skills:
- In-depth knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to material selection and corrosion risk
- Proficiency with corrosion modeling software
Languages: Fluent English, both written and spoken
Personal attributes: Autonomy, energy, responsiveness, team spirit, strong interpersonal skills
