Where will you work as a Geoscience Data Manager / Data Loader – Management Support?
We are hiring for a client in the energy sector (underground storage & geosciences) a Geoscience Data Manager / Data Loader, based in La Garenne-Colombes (Paris area) 

Geoscience Data Manager / Data Loader – Management Support: What will you do?
Perform quality control and load digitized oil-well data (reports, logs, etc.) into the GEODATABANK subsurface database.
Build and maintain an inventory register of reviewed wells.
Geolocate integrated wells using ArcGIS and QGIS.
QC and ingest digital datasets from external media (CD/DVD, hard drives, USB keys) into GEODATABANK.
Support the Data Management team lead (8 people) in day-to-day coordination and act as deputy when needed.
Deliver contractual outputs: monthly progress reports and end-of-mission / knowledge transfer report.
Comply with strict confidentiality, team operating rules and HSE procedures; occasional travel (expenses reimbursed).

What background and skills for this Geoscience Data Manager / Data Loader role?

Education
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Geosciences, GIS, or scientific data management (or equivalent).

Experience
Hands-on experience managing/ingesting geoscience or oil-well datasets (logs, reports).
Energy / storage / O&G environment is a plus.

Skills
Strong QC, curation, cataloging and ingestion workflows for technical data.
Tools: ArcGIS, QGIS, subsurface data repositories such as GEODATABANK (or similar).
Metadata best practices, handling external media, traceability & auditability.
High attention to detail, service mindset, clear communication with geoscience engineers.
Ability to support team management (daily planning, coordination, reporting).
