What kind of company will you be joining as a driller?

 

We are currently looking for a driller to join one of our major clients in the energy sector, based onshore or offshore depending on the project

 

Driller: What will your missions and responsibilities be?

 

You will be responsible for supervising drilling operations in accordance with safety, quality, time, and budget requirements. You will ensure daily coordination of field activities across the assigned installations.

 

Your responsibilities include:

 

Drilling Operations Supervision:

• Conduct drilling operations according to the drilling program and technical specifications.
• Adjust parameters based on well conditions and real-time data.
• Apply best practices and safety standards.

 

Drilling Equipment Management:

• Supervise the use and maintenance of equipment (drawworks, drill heads, mud control system, etc.).
• Ensure performance and preventive maintenance of tools.
• Anticipate material needs to avoid operational delays.

 

Safety and Emergency Management:

• Enforce QHSE procedures.
• Manage emergency situations (well control, loss of circulation, etc.).
• Organize safety drills and train the crew.

 

Team Management:

• Supervise drillers, assistant drillers, and operators.
• Ensure optimal task allocation.
• Guarantee compliance with safety and quality standards.

 

Reporting and Communication:

• Prepare daily drilling reports.
• Communicate with the Tool Pusher and project managers.
• Propose performance improvement solutions.

 

What profile and skills are required for this driller position?

Education:

• Technical diploma in mechanics, petroleum operations, or equivalent.
• Valid IWCF or IADC certification is mandatory.

 

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience on drilling sites, including 2 years as a Driller.
• Offshore experience highly appreciated.

 

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of drilling techniques and equipment.
• Excellent understanding of safety standards.
• Leadership, composure, and crisis response capability.
