What kind of company will you be joining as an EHS consultant?
We are recruiting for one of our clients in the pharmaceutical sector, an EHS Consultant based in Toulouse, to support the compliance of a new bioproduction industrial site.
EHS consultant: What will your missions and responsibilities be?
As the EHS Lead for the project, you will participate in the design, deployment, and complete documentation of the site’s EHS system.
Your main missions will include:
Structuring the EHS Management System:
- Deploying a system compliant with ISO standards and local regulations
- Coordinating with the group’s QHSE teams
Compliance with the Prefectural Order :
- Writing regulatory documents
- Setting up environmental monitoring
- Preparing for DREAL audits
Managing Occupational Risks:
- Developing the URAD (Unique Risk Assessment Document)
- Writing safety sheets for each workstation (FSP)
- Monitoring waste management and assessing equipment compliance (machine directive)
Operational Coordination:
- Interacting with the CQ, production, maintenance, logistics teams, etc.
- Integrating EHS standards into daily operations
Business Continuity Plan (BCP):
- Writing and validating the BCP for the site
- Monitoring associated measures and plans
- Expected Deliverables:
- EHS procedures (written, validated, disseminated)
- Regulatory documentation compliant with the prefectural order
- Validated and operational BCP
- Finalized URAD and FSP
- 100% of equipment evaluated
- Regular monitoring of EHS performance indicators
What profile and skills are required for this EHS consultant position?
Education:
- Master’s degree (bac+5) in Environmental Science, Quality, Health & Safety, or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience on industrial EHS projects
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or chemical industries is highly appreciated
Technical Skills:
- Mastery of French regulations (ICPE, DREAL, machine directive, audits, prefectural orders, etc.)
- Ability to write technical and regulatory documents in both French and English
Personal Qualities:
- Rigorous, autonomous, analytical
- Excellent interpersonal skills and field contact
Constraints and Conditions:
- Location: Toulouse (on-site position)
- Languages: Fluent in French and English
- Start Date: Early May 2025
- Duration: Short-term assignment (to be confirmed)
- Confidentiality: Strict confidentiality required for site and project data
