What kind of structure will you be joining as a geotechnical project manager?
We are recruiting for our client an experienced geotechnical project manager (M/F) on a permanent contract (CDI) in Lyon.
Experienced geotechnical project manager (M/F): What will your missions and responsibilities be?
You will join the geotechnical division based in Lyon, contributing to major projects in sectors such as rail, road infrastructure, underground works, and multimodal platforms.
Your main responsibilities include:
Project Management:
- Full management of geotechnical studies (from G1 to G5 phases)
- Coordination of internal teams and external partners
- Ensuring technical, contractual, and financial monitoring of projects
Business Development:
- Active participation in tender submissions
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Represent our client with partners and project owners
Technical Expertise:
- Analyze site investigation data (drillings, in-situ tests, lab tests)
- Draft, supervise, and validate technical reports
- Propose innovative and sustainable technical solutions
Team Management and Leadership:
- Supervise and support engineers and technicians
- Share your expertise and energize the team’s technical momentum
- Contribute to continuous improvement of methods and tools
What profile and skills are required for this geotechnical project manager position?
Technical skills:
- Proficient in French and international geotechnical standards
- Proven experience on linear or complex infrastructure projects
- Ability to propose reliable and innovative technical solutions
Soft skills:
- Excellent analytical and synthesis capabilities
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Interest in fieldwork and collaborative working
Profile sought:
- Engineering degree in geotechnics, applied geology, or equivalent
- 10 to 15 years of experience in a similar environment (engineering consultancy, design office, or construction company)
- Professional English required, both written and spoken
