What kind of company will you be joining as an HSE project manager – Offshore wind ?
We are recruiting for one of our clients in the energy sector an HSE project manager – Offshore wind to be based in Nantes, France.
HSE project manager – Offshore wind : What will your missions and responsibilities be?
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting HSE site and vessel inspections
- Reviewing subcontractors’ HSE documentation
- Participating in risk analysis and incident investigations
- Updating the significant HSE events register
- Gathering data for monthly HSE KPIs reporting
- Managing HSE documentation and records
- Verifying compliance of General Coordination Plans (PGC) with regulations
- Ensuring coordination between all HSE stakeholders on the project
- Attending meetings, CISSCT (health and safety committees), joint inspections, and feedback sessions
- Monitoring offshore personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Providing regular HSE reporting to the Atlantic HSE Business Manager
- Supporting coordination and updates of HSE specifications
Mandatory travel requirements:
- Weekly site visits
- Occasional travel for HSE inspections and vessel audits in France or across Europe
- Occasional offshore trips (on vessels and platforms)
What profile and skills are required for this HSE project manager – Offshore wind role?
Education:
- Engineering degree or equivalent (Master’s level or Bac+4/5)
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as an HSE Manager on similar projects
- Strong background in HSE inspections of vessels
Skills:
- Technical knowledge of survey operations and vessels
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
- Ability to integrate into existing project teams
- Stress resistance and ability to respond quickly to incidents
- Strong writing and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and listening abilities, with sensitivity to multicultural and complex organizational environments
- Valid driver’s license (category B)
- Valid GWO Basic Safety Training modules
- Valid offshore medical certificate
- Valid electrical clearance H0V B0 and PASS HTB supervisory level for onshore electrical substations
