Where will you work as an acoustics and vibration engineer?

 

We are seeking an acoustics and vibration engineer (M/F) for a permanent position based in Vitrolles (13).

 

Acoustics and Vibration Engineer (M/F): What will your duties and responsibilities be?

 

Reporting to the Environment division of the Vitrolles agency, you will work on transportation infrastructure projects (road, rail, and urban).

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct acoustic and vibration studies: roads, highways, trams, metros, railway lines
  • Participate in the preparation of tender response documents
  • Monitor projects from the early stages (diagnostics, impact studies) through the DCE and PRO phases
  • Contribute to on-site project management (MOEi):
  • Acoustic monitoring of construction
  • On-site measurements
  • Implementation of noise and vibration reduction systems
  • Modeling of noise and vibration impacts (CadnaA, MithraSIG, etc.)
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (roads, civil engineering, geotechnical, etc.)
  • Monitor regulatory and technical aspects of acoustics and vibrations

 

What profile and skills are required for this acoustic and vibration engineer position?

Technical Skills:

 

  • Good knowledge of acoustic regulations (Environmental Code, technical orders, infrastructure noise, etc.)
  • Proficiency in acoustic simulation software (CadnaA, SoundPlan, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data processing tools
  • Ability to write clear reports and defend research in meetings

 

Soft Skills:

 

  • Autonomy, rigor, and teamwork skills
  • A passion for multidisciplinary projects
  • Professional English preferred

 

Required Profile:

 

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) (engineering school or university) with a specialization in acoustics and vibrations (INSA, UTC, ENSIM, ENTPE, etc.)
  • 4 to 5 years’ experience in a design office or engineering firm
