Geotechnical & Earthworks Study Engineer (H/F)

What kind of structure will you be joining?

As part of the development of its activities, our client is looking for a Geotechnical & Earthworks Study Engineer H/F to work on infrastructure and earthworks projects.

You will join a team specialized in geotechnical studies and contribute to a wide range of projects in the fields of roads, motorways, industrial platforms, ports and airports.

Location: Paris, France
Contract: Permanent contract (CDI)
Start date: As soon as possible

Position: What will your responsibilities be?

As a Geotechnical & Earthworks Study Engineer H/F, your main responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out geotechnical studies for infrastructure and earthworks projects;
• Participating in the design and sizing of geotechnical structures;
• Working on earthworks projects for roads, motorways, industrial platforms, ports and airports;
• Analysing and interpreting geotechnical investigation data;
• Performing the calculations and modelling required for geotechnical studies;
• Using advanced geotechnical design software as well as ALIZE;
• Contributing to the preparation of calculation notes, technical reports and project documentation;
• Working closely with the various project stakeholders to ensure the quality and compliance of the studies.

Knowledge of pavement assessment and design would be an advantage for this position.

What profile and skills are we looking for?

Education

• Degree in Geology/Geotechnical Engineering or an Engineering degree with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering;
• Master’s degree (Bac+5), Engineering degree or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

• At least 2 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering;
• Experience working on earthworks projects, ideally involving roads, motorways, industrial platforms, ports or airports;
• Experience in pavement assessment and design would be an advantage.

Skills

• Proficiency in advanced geotechnical design software;
• Proficiency in ALIZE;
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering and earthworks;
• Very good level of English is essential;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Rigorous and well-organized approach;
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Salary and benefits

• Salary: €40,000 to €45,000 gross per year, depending on profile and experience;
• Permanent contract (CDI);
• Position based in Paris, France.
