Job Title: Environmental Ecologist Engineer (M/F)
What will your missions and responsibilities be?
Ecological and regulatory studies
-
Conduct ecological assessments (fauna, flora, natural habitats)
-
Contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
-
Participate in the preparation of regulatory documentation (impact assessments, Water Law files, protected species derogation files, etc.)
-
Analyse ecological constraints and propose ERC measures (Avoid – Reduce – Compensate)
Environmental monitoring of projects
-
Ensure ecological monitoring of construction sites
-
Verify compliance of works with environmental requirements
-
Participate in technical meetings with various stakeholders
Project management and coordination
-
Lead or contribute to the delivery of environmental studies
-
Occasionally supervise junior ecologists or external ecological consultants
-
Manage relationships with partners and institutional stakeholders
-
Contribute to the preparation of technical and methodological proposals
What profile and skills are required for this Environmental Ecologist Engineer (M/F) position?
Education
-
Master’s degree (Bac +5) in ecology, biodiversity, environmental sciences, or equivalent
Experience
-
Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in an environmental consultancy or engineering firm
-
Experience on infrastructure or land-use planning projects is highly valued
Technical skills
-
Strong knowledge of French environmental regulations
-
Expertise in ecological survey methodologies
-
Experience in drafting regulatory environmental studies
-
Good understanding of ERC (Avoid – Reduce – Compensate) procedures
-
Proficiency in GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.)
