Installation methods engineer – project manager (M/F)

What kind of company will you be joining as an installation methods engineer – project manager?  

We are recruiting for one of our clients in the industrial supply sector, an installation methods engineer – project manager (M/F), to be based in Calais.  

Installation methods engineer – project manager: What will your missions and responsibilities be?  

As an Installation Engineer, you will play a central role in preparing, coordinating, and overseeing offshore installation operations, from the engineering phase to implementation on-site. You will work as an interface with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and participate in all key stages of the project.  

Your missions will include:  

Project Meetings Participation:

• Monitor project progress and attend coordination meetings: engineering, HSE, technical reviews, internal and external interfaces
• Provide technical support during meetings with subcontractors and partners

  Technical Responsibilities:

• Write, update, and track installation procedures, checklists, and associated reports
• Follow installation analyses, transport technical files, operation schedules, and duration estimates
• Provide technical support for equipment, lifting equipment, and tools specific to the installation
• Manage technical documentation: data books, MTO (Material Take-Off), rigging files, system description tables, etc.

  Installation Engineering Management:

• Supervise the production of engineering deliverables related to installation
• Plan and prioritize drawing, calculation, and naval/structural studies activities
• Monitor the design of installation aids and specific equipment

  Monitoring and Coordination:

• Track document progress via the Master Document Register
• Estimate and monitor resources and budgets related to installation engineering
• Organize and lead internal coordination meetings

You will play a key role in coordinating between design, HSE, manufacturing, suppliers, subcontractors, and operations teams, ensuring technical consistency, document tracking, and smooth exchanges throughout the project.  

What profile and skills are required for this installation methods engineer – project manager position?  

Education:

• Engineering degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, offshore engineering, structural engineering, or installation engineering

  Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role
