What kind of company will you be joining as a logistics engineer?
We are recruiting on behalf of one of our major clients in the energy sector for an experienced Logistics Engineer, to be based in Paris or Lyon. You will join an industrial environment with significant technical and operational challenges, particularly in the nuclear industry.
Logistics engineer: What will your missions and responsibilities be?
As a Logistics Engineer, you will play a key role in organizing, structuring, and optimizing logistics flows on sensitive sites. You will lead a large team and coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Team leadership and logistics organization:
- Manage an operational team of approximately 100 people
- Define and implement logistics strategies (flows, storage, delivery)
- Strengthen operational standards and ensure their implementation on-site
Flow and supply chain management:
- Plan supplies according to project and production needs
- Schedule deliveries and organize internal/external transport circuits
- Manage inbound and outbound transportation while complying with nuclear safety requirements
Supplier and customer relations:
- Manage relationships with logistics and industrial partners
- Negotiate deadlines and ensure compliance with delivery commitments
- Provide clear and structured reporting on supplier performance
Performance monitoring and continuous improvement:
- Track logistics KPIs: OTD (On-Time Delivery), service rate, stock levels
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects (processes, tools, organization)
- Contribute to logistics flow digitization through ERP, WMS, and advanced management systems
What profile and skills are required for this logistics engineer position?
Education: Engineering degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain, or industrial domain
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in a similar role within a complex industrial environment
- Solid experience in managing large operational teams
- Experience in the nuclear sector is a strong asset
Technical skills:
- Proficiency with ERP systems, WMS, and logistics management software
- Ability to organize complex flows and adapt logistics schemes
- Knowledge of regulations related to industrial logistics (transport of sensitive materials, safety, etc.)
Personal qualities:
- Leadership, priority management, and attention to detail
- Analytical mindset and ability to make quick decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate various stakeholders (internal and external)
