MARINE ADVISOR - Multi Project – Bonga North / Kaminho / Gran Morgu

We are looking for a Marine Advisor for our client a big contractor specialized in offshore operations.

What will be your roles and responsibilities?

  • Conduct short-term missions worldwide for vessel inspections and audits.
  • Draft project documents (Marine operations manual, towing plans, marine assurance documents, etc.).
  • Communicate with vessel captains to ensure their requirements are included in vessel requests.
  • Ensure both project and client specifications are passed to the chartering department.
  • Review offers from the chartering department and participate in technical bid evaluations.
  • Check vessel certificates and crew CVs and validate the vessel selection.
  • Perform vessel inspections and audits, and ensure non-conformities are closed.
  • Issue derogation requests for marine aspects and follow up with the client.
  • Participate in inspections with Client and MWS.
  • Join pre-operations meetings with Owners and Project (including HSE meetings).
  • Contribute to marine operations risk assessments.
  • May be involved in marine incident investigations and report writing.
  • Able to deliver project briefings to captains and crews during mobilization.
 
What profile and skills are needed for this Marine Advisor position?

Education: Former Captain, Chief Mate, or Chief Engineer.
Experience: Proven experience as officer on DP vessels in offshore oil & gas industry.

Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of IMCA, OCIMF (OVID), IMO, ILO standards.
  • Familiar with Flag and Coastal State regulations.
  • Knowledge of standard STD_GR-GROUP-EXE-205-E-R01.
  • Strong technical writing and review skills.
  • Ability to interact with vessel captains, chartering teams, and client reps.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • BOSIET + CAEBS and valid medical certificate.
 
Salary and Benefits:
No expatriate contract.
Based on international projects: in Africa and Latin america.
Start: 01/09/2025 – Visibility until 31/08/2026.
