What kind of company will you be joining as a mechanical design engineer?
EP2C Energy is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer (M/F) to strengthen the team of one of its clients in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology industries. You will be involved in high-stakes technical projects, contributing to the design of complex parts and tooling in a demanding industrial environment. The position is based in Sassenage (38) and is a permanent role (CDI).
Mechanical design engineer (M/F): What will your responsibilities be?
Reporting to the Design Office, you will play a central role in mechanical design, the production of technical deliverables, and the writing of documentation in English. You will also contribute to strategic decisions regarding industrialization processes.
Your main tasks will include:
- Producing part drawings at every stage of the manufacturing process, based on provided technical data;
- Incorporating manufacturing constraints, industrial processes, and technical specifications into the design;
- Developing control plans for manufactured parts;
- Writing technical specifications for the design of handling tools;
- Creating 3D visualizations of concepts, as well as detailed and assembly drawings;
- Participating in decisions related to the organization of the overall industrial workflow.

- Dimensioned drawings meeting technical requirements
- Functional specifications for tooling
- Technical reports and compliance documents
- Proficiency in industrial processes used in aerospace products: assembly, forming, insulation, welding
- Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods
- In-depth understanding of conventional machining processes
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and PDM (Product Data Management) software
- Good understanding of the EN9100 quality standard
- Ability to write technical documentation in English
- Precision and autonomy in managing deliverables
- Analytical and synthesis skills to propose relevant technical solutions
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with project, manufacturing, and supplier teams
- Master’s degree (Bac +5) in mechanical design or industrial engineering
- 5 to 10 years of experience in design projects within a complex industrial environment
- Professional proficiency in English (written, spoken, and read)
- Occasional travel to suppliers required
