We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients, a " MONTE CARLO SIMULATION SPECIALIST FOR NUCLEAR PROBES – (MCNP/GEANT4) (M/F)” for a 12-month renewable assignment based in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France.
“MONTE CARLO SIMULATION SPECIALIST FOR NUCLEAR PROBES – (MCNP/GEANT4) (M/F)” What will your missions and responsibilities be?
Missions:
- Perform MCNP and GEANT4 modeling of nuclear detectors (open hole and cased hole), including model creation, simulations, and statistical sizing
- Process simulation results, generate importance maps, and produce sensitivity functions (using provided scripts)
- Integrate the generated maps into an existing forward modeling code for well logging
- Adapt the workflow to different acquisition modes (time windows, spectral modes, multi-detector tools)
- Apply the methodology to various types of logging tools: carbon/oxygen ratio, inelastic/capture ratio, litho-density and photoelectric factor probes, and natural gamma radiation
- Deliverables: MCNP and GEANT4 models of the detectors, simulation results, as well as codes and algorithms for sensitivity functions
