Nuclear safety engineer (M/F)

Where will you be working as a Nuclear Safety Engineer (M/F)?  We are recruiting for one of our clients in the nuclear sector, looking to hire two Nuclear Safety Engineers: – 1 position based in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, – 2 positions based in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.   Nuclear Safety Engineer (M/F): What will your main tasks and responsibilities be?   
  • Draft and update safety documentation (general operating rules, technical notes, safety reports, impact assessments, etc.) 
  • Analyze facility modifications with respect to applicable safety standards 
  • Participate in technical committees and meetings with nuclear safety authorities or operators 
  • Verify regulatory compliance of projects or installations with nuclear safety requirements 
  • Conduct risk analysis studies and propose appropriate mitigation measures 
  • Maintain regulatory and normative watch in the field of nuclear safety 
  • Handle authorization and declaration files with competent authorities 
  • Contribute to the preparation and feedback of internal and external audits 
  • Provide nuclear safety technical support to project and operations teams 
  • Support continuous improvement of nuclear safety culture and practices 
  What profile and skills are required for this Nuclear Safety Engineer position?    Education:  Engineering degree or Master’s (Bac+5) in nuclear engineering, safety, physics, or related field.    Experience: 
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in nuclear safety, ideally at a CNPE (French nuclear power plant) 
  • Experience in drafting regulatory and technical documents in controlled environments 
  Skills: 
  • Strong technical writing and risk analysis skills 
  • Proficient in office software tools (MS Office Suite) 
  • Sense of responsibility, rigor, and autonomy 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with technical and regulatory stakeholders 
  • Good knowledge of nuclear operating authorization procedures 
  • Valid nuclear certifications (HN, SCN, RP) would be an asset 
  Salary and Benefits:  Remuneration will be based on experience and profile.
