What type of structure will you be working in as a piping supervisor?

 

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our key clients in the energy and petrochemical sector, for a Piping Supervisor position.

 

Piping supervisor – What will your duties and responsibilities be?

 

As a Piping Supervisor, you will oversee activities related to the installation, maintenance, and management of piping systems on an industrial site. Your role is crucial to ensure compliance, work quality, and the safety of teams on site.

Your responsibilities include:

 

Installation and Maintenance Supervision

 

• Supervise technical teams and subcontractors during the installation and maintenance of piping networks
• Ensure that work is carried out according to design plans, technical requirements, and standards
• Verify the quality of work and the compliance of materials used (pipes, fittings, valves, etc.)

 

Team and Resource Management

 

• Organize and coordinate the daily tasks of piping crews on site
• Support ongoing training and skills development of technicians and workers
• Manage resource allocation and ensure worker safety on site

 

Quality and Safety Control

 

• Perform regular inspections to ensure installation quality and co
• mpliance with safety standards
• Identify and promptly resolve any technical or safety issues occurring on site
• Guarantee compliance with HSE regulations (Health, Safety, Environment)

 

Schedule and Cost Monitoring

 

• Track project progress to ensure deadlines and budget forecasts are met
• Communicate regularly on project status and anticipate risks of delay or cost overrun
• Draft progress and performance reports

 

Collaboration and Coordination

 

• Work closely with engineers, project managers,
• and other departments to ensure smooth coordination
• Participate in planning and follow-up meetings to adjust priorities and allocate resources accordingly

 

What profile and skills are required for this piping supervisor role?

 

Education

 

• Technical degree (BTS/DUT) to Master’s level in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent

 

Experience

 

• Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in piping work management in an industrial environment, including experience in team supervision

 

Technical Skills

 

• Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and associated equipment
• Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ISO, HSE)
• Experience in piping project management, resource planning, and site supervision
• Skilled in diagnosing and resolving technical issues on installations
