Within which structure will you work as a Site Planner / OPC Planner?

We are recruiting for one of our clients, a major international player in the energy / engineering / industrial projects sector, a Site Planner / OPC Planner. 

Site Planner / OPC Planner: Your responsibilities

As the planning focal point, you will manage levels 3 and 4 project planning, covering design, procurement and construction. You will detect deviations, anticipate corrective actions, and provide continuous visibility to construction teams.
Based on the mission description :

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop the level 3 master schedule, including activities, units, subcontracting strategy and milestones.

  • Ensure consistency between the level 3 schedule and subcontractors' schedules; provide critical assessment.

  • Consolidate all subcontractors' schedules into a common level 4 site schedule.

  • Prepare scheduling and progress inputs required for monthly progress reporting.

  • Create and update the progress monitoring system (quantities, resources, actual vs forecast).

  • Lead the issuance of the weekly site report.

  • Verify alignment between planned and actual progress directly on site.

  • Assess subcontractors' resources and propose adjustments when needed.

  • Monitor trends, variances, anticipate impacts and alert Site Manager & Construction Manager.

  • Resolve issues related to delivery delays / supply chain disruptions.

  • Maintain manpower forecasts, progress curves and histograms.

  • Attend subcontractor coordination meetings (mobilisation, access, demobilisation).

  • Verify completion of works and recommend final acceptance.

  • Generate progress comparisons, schedule updates, logic changes.

  • Propose optimisation actions to improve performance.

  • Identify and report existing or potential issues.

  • Monitor external events impacting the schedule and provide the relevant analysis.

Ideal profile & skills

Education

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management or similar.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in site planning / construction planning / OPC in industry projects (energy, oil & gas, EPC, chemicals, nuclear, infrastructure).

  • Strong experience liaising with subcontractors and producing site reporting.

Skills

  • Proficient with Primavera P6 (preferred) or MS Project.

  • Strong understanding of construction & installation workflows.

  • Excellent analytical mindset and deviation management.

  • Strong communication and reporting abilities.

  • Advanced Excel and data management skills.

  • English: fluent / professional.
