What kind of company will you be joining as a process control & functional analysis specialist?

 

 

EP2C Energy is hiring a process control & functional analysis specialist (M/F) to provide expert support in industrial process automation projects. You will be working with one of our clients in the chemical, refining, and pharmaceutical sectors, with occasional on-site travel (2 to 3 days).

 

 

 

Process control & functional analysis specialist: What will your responsibilities be?

 

 

In direct collaboration with the client’s teams, you will be involved in industrial automation projects, taking charge of drafting functional analyses and managing the technical aspects related to automation.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

 

Drafting functional analyses:

 

• Drafting detailed functional analyses based on process descriptions.

 

 

Assessing I/O quantities:

 

• Assessing input/output quantities (I/O lists).

 

 

Acting as technical interface:

 

• Acting as the technical interface with the client on matters related to process control systems.

 

 

Participating in technical meetings:

 

• Participating in technical meetings (remote or on-site within France).

 

 

Preparing and updating project documentation:

 

• Preparing and updating project tracking documentation.

 

 

Writing meeting minutes:

 

• Writing technical meeting minutes.

 

 

Contributing to project coordination:

 

• Contributing to project coordination.

 

 

Expected deliverables:

 

• Complete functional analysis documents
• I/O assessments
• Project documentation
• Meeting minutes and technical reports

 

 

What profile and skills are required for this role?

 

Technical skills:

 

• Excellent command of functional analysis writing for process automation.
• Strong experience in regulated environments (chemicals, refining, pharmaceuticals).
• Solid understanding of process control systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

 

 

Soft skills:

 

• Strong communication skills with clients.
• Thoroughness, autonomy, and ease in technical coordination.
• Analytical mindset and ability to deliver high-quality outputs within deadlines.

 

 

Profile sought:

 

• Engineering degree or Master’s (Bac +5) in automation, process control, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in industrial automation.
• Fluent in French, professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Dual experience in chemicals/refining and pharma is a strong asset.
