What kind of company will you be joining as a sales engineer – data center segment?
We are hiring a Sales Engineer specialized in the Data Center sector to support one of our clients in developing their business across Southeast Asia. The position is based on site and requires significant travel within the region.
Sales engineer – data center segment: What will your responsibilities be?
As a Data Center segment expert, you will be responsible for defining, structuring, and deploying the sales strategy in your market. You will identify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with key accounts, system integrators, consultants, and partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
Business Development & Account Strategy:
- Identify, qualify, and convert new opportunities into concrete projects
- Negotiate and close deals with end customers, consultants, and system integrators
- Build and maintain a structured business pipeline aligned with commercial forecasts
- Contribute to budget planning and sales targets for the Data Center market
Partner and Distribution Network Management:
- Collaborate with local, regional, and global teams to support indirect sales
- Support distributors with pricing strategy, offers, and project management
- Identify new strategic alliances to expand market presence
Marketing and Technical Support:
- Provide first-level technical support to partners and resellers
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
- Draft technical documentation, presentations, and white papers in collaboration with Marketing and Engineering teams
Product Expertise & Market Intelligence:
- Serve as a reference expert for Data Center power solutions, industry standards, and electrical system integration
- Analyze sales and market data to inform strategic decisions
What profile and skills are needed for this sales engineer – data center position?
Education: Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of commercial experience in power generation
- Proven experience in the Data Center sector with solid knowledge of industry standards
- Strong background in both direct sales and sales via partner/distributor networks
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication and ability to influence high-level stakeholders
- Strong results orientation and passion for sales performance
- Autonomous, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
Languages:
- Fluent English required
Mobility: Frequent travel (up to 50%) required within the Asia-Pacific region
