In what kind of organization will you be working as a Senior Environmental Engineer?
Our client is a leading engineering consultancy operating in France and internationally on major transport infrastructure projects: highways, rail lines, ports, airports, urban infrastructures, and canals.
As part of a large-scale river infrastructure project (budget >€200M), the company is looking to strengthen its Project Management Assistance (AMO) and Project Management team by recruiting a Senior Environmental Engineer.
Senior Environmental Engineer – What will your missions and responsibilities be?
• Support the AMO in preparing technical opinions on the actions and deliverables of the design teams regarding environmental aspects (studies, tender documents, environmental issues during construction), in coordination with project managers and thematic experts.
• Lead sectors and, more broadly, the AMO team to ensure the proper integration of environmental permit requirements into project execution.
• Anticipate potential blockages requiring new permits and contribute to their preparation.
• Advise the project owner on environmental procedures and provide technical expertise (fauna, flora, water, soil, etc.).
What profile and skills are required for this Senior Environmental Engineer position?
• Education
Master’s degree or engineering degree (BAC+5) in environmental sciences, ecology, ecological engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental matters, ideally related to linear or river infrastructures.
• Skills
• Strong knowledge of environmental procedures.
• Experience with linear or river infrastructures is a plus.
• Excellent writing skills, analytical thinking, and synthesis abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confident oral communication.
• Organizational skills, autonomy, and initiative.
• Interest in multidisciplinary approaches and integrated design (environment & technical).
