What kind of structure will you be joining as an Senior/Lead installation method engineer ?
For our client, we are looking for a person who will be responsible for coordinating, writing, monitoring and updating technical documentation relating to offshore installation activities, based in Paris.
Senior/Lead installation method engineer: What will your missions and responsibilities be?
- Participate in project meetings, technical coordination, interfaces, HSE/HIRA, technical reviews, and meetings with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Issuing, updating, and monitoring the following documents:
-Installation procedures, checklists, technical reports
-Technical transport files, MTO, Rigging Data Book, system/package description sheets
-ROV accessibility studies, collision analyses, specifications, and technical qualifications
- Monitoring installation analyses and designs of equipment and installation aids
- Coordinating resources, studies, and planning (time, costs, human resources)
- Initiating and managing documentation for equipment, materials, and installation aids
- Supervising drawing work, naval calculations, and structures
- Participating in contract reviews and discussions with suppliers (review of FAT/SIT/OT, technical documents)
- Drafting detailed operations and maintenance schedules Transportation
- Report progress, track deviations, organize coordination meetings, and formalize reports.
What profile and skills are required for this position of Senior/Lead installation method engineer?
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience in offshore installation engineering
- Proficiency in drafting and monitoring technical procedures (installation, transport, rigging, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of offshore equipment, installation aids, and lifting methods
- Good understanding of HSE requirements, risk analyses, and offshore operational constraints
- Ability to analyze supplier documents, FAT/SIT/OT, manufacturing and transport documents
Soft Skills:
- Organizational skills and priority management
- Rigor, autonomy, and cross-functional coordination
- Strong interpersonal skills with project teams, subcontractors, and partners
- Ability to work in a demanding, multicultural environment
Required Qualifications:
- Engineering degree with a specialization in offshore or installation/mechanics/structure
- Significant experience on offshore projects, ideally in an oil and gas environment
- Fluent English required (technical documents and meetings in English)
- Ability to travel occasionally onshore and offshore (SIT, load-out, supplier meetings, etc.)
