In what structure will you be a Senior Planning Engineer ? 

 

We are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer for one of our clients in the gas industry, based in Charenton-le-Pont (FR-94).

 

 

Senior Planning Engineer : What will your tasks and responsibilities be ?

 

As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will take over planning of EP or EPC projects with an average duration of three years and a budget ranging €5 million - €500 million. In this role, your main responsibilities will be to: 

- Prepare the baseline for the project schedule and progress measurement sheets
- Update the schedule and progress measurement sheets each month based on actual progress and realistic forecasts
- Verify that all activities, including those of the client and other stakeholders, are presented
- Perform progress analysis (overdue tasks and upcoming/foreseeable tasks)
- Analyze the critical path (or paths close to the critical path) and work with the project manager to improve and mitigate schedule-related risks
- Work closely with project engineers and participate in project reviews and project coordination meetings
- Propose corrective measures to improve the situation if necessary
- Assist in project execution planning and project control to meet deadline and progress requirements
- Support the project manager in decisions relating to the project execution strategy
- Structure all activities from the start of work to the end of the project
- Ensure transparency with regard to deadlines and progress

 

 

What profile and skills are required for this Senior Planning Engineer position ? 

 

- You have at least 10 years of experience working on large industrial EPC projects. Previous experience in the chemical/oil and gas/energy industry is required.
- You are proficient in Primavera P6
- You have a good knowledge of technical development (reading P&ID diagrams, data required for 3D modeling, E&I cycles, etc.)
- You have a professional level of English and French 
- Knowledge of Google Sheets is a plus
