Where will you work as a Project Engineer?
We are recruiting, on behalf of a major international engineering company in the petrochemical sector, a Senior Project Engineer / Project Coordinator, based on-site at LyondellBasell Berre l’Étang (France).
Project Engineer: What will your missions and responsibilities be?
You will act as the technical and coordination focal point for engineering and revamping projects on the petrochemical site.
Project leadership & coordination

Prepare engineering proposals.

Collect and consolidate technical data required for project execution.

Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and subcontractors.

Check workload consistency and alert the Contract Manager when needed.

Ensure coordination with client representatives (Projects, Maintenance, Production, Safety, etc.).
Technical responsibilities

Validate or support validation of technical solutions.

Ensure the technical quality of engineering deliverables.

Consolidate estimates and inputs from all involved disciplines.

Monitor and control allocated budgets.

Update project dashboards and monitoring tools.
Planning & progress

Plan and control project schedules through all phases.

Monitor progress and trigger associated invoicing.

Support construction follow-up with the Construction Manager until Mechanical Completion.
What profile and skills for this role?
Education
-
Engineering degree in general engineering, piping, mechanical, process or related discipline.
Experience
-
At least 10 years' experience in oil & gas engineering, ideally in petrochemical revamping.

Strong experience in multidisciplinary coordination and multi-project environments.
Technical skills
-
Strong knowledge of Piping / General Installation.
-
Proficiency in Pack Office, Outlook, Teams.

Experience with project databases such as PDB, VDB, GAIA.

Solid skills in planning, budgeting, and reporting.

Fluent in French and operational English.
Required certifications

GIES 1

ATEX Level 0

Scaffolding use

Scaffolding acceptance
