Project engineer (H/F)

What structure will you be working in as a Project Engineer?

 

One of our clients is seeking a Service Project Engineer to participate in the execution of modernization, expansion, and upgrade projects for GIS substations and transformers. The position is based in Singapore, with occasional travel expected, particularly to Brunei.

 

Project Engineer: What will your duties and responsibilities be?

 

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the technical and operational management of projects, from the preparation phase to final delivery.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

 

Project execution support:

 

• Participate in all phases of GT SV projects (GIS & Transformers), from design to completion.
• Ensure compliance with safety, budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

• Implement project management processes according to internal standards (Project Excellence – PE).

 

Technical and Logistics Coordination:

 

• Manage relationships with contracted suppliers and field personnel.
• Liaise with factories and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Supervise on-site work and ensure its compliant execution.

 

Operational Monitoring and Reporting:

 

• Track project performance indicators and prepare project reviews.
• Participate in the management of contractual modifications and invoicing until project closure.

 

Amélioration continue et développement commercial :

 

• Identify levers for localizing services or optimizing processes.
• Contribute to the preparation of commercial offers: technical analyses, budgets, specifications.
• Collaborate closely with the Sales & Bid Management team.

 

What profile and skills are required for this Project Engineer position?

 

Training : Electrical engineering degree, site management or equivalent.

 

Expérience :

 

• 2 to 4 years of engineering or on-site experience (installation, commissioning, site monitoring).
• Prior experience in electrical project management or bid preparation is a plus.
• Knowledge of the high-voltage (HV) sector is preferred.

 

Technical and behavioral skills:

 

• Ability to read contracts, specifications, and monitor budgets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT tools.
• Strong customer focus, rigor, and teamwork skills.
• Intercultural awareness and the ability to adapt to a multicultural environment.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) required – another Asian language is an asset.

 

 

Mobility : Position based in Singapore with possible travel to Southeast Asia, including Brunei.
