We are looking for a Site Construction Manager in Montoir de Bretagne (44) for one of our clients in the energy sector (gas storage).
Site Construction Manager: What will your duties and responsibilities be ?
- Oversee the entire construction program process with the support of the Construction department.
- Organize the construction site.
- Participate in kick-off meetings with the client and subcontractors to present and clarify the organization and policy of the construction site.
- Maintain relations with the client on the construction site, acting as the project manager's representative.
- Organize, if necessary and with the support of the project manager and the Construction Department, operational forces to meet specific objectives: safety group, unit commissioning team, testing team, etc.
- Organize internal audits
- Communicate within the construction site organization the importance of customer satisfaction and legal and regulatory requirements
- Manage the MOE construction teams
- Finalize the site organization and define the job description (tasks to be performed and skills required) for each member of the site staff
- Prepare or participate in the development of the supervision bar chart
- Participate in the selection of candidates to join the team through interviews
- Finalize the supervision schedule based on the general construction schedule (mobilization)
- Report to the project manager
- Ensure the implementation of effective safety measures and procedures defined within the framework of the client's HSE management system
- Regularly evaluate quality performance by analyzing quality indicators, approve the issuance of non-compliance reports, and convene meetings to resolve recurring issues
- Participate in the administration of works contracts (consolidation of price supplement estimates, follow-up of claims, approval of monthly invoicing sheets, etc.)
- Oversee construction planning and scheduling and approve progress reports
- Participate in preparation for start-up and then in start-up
- Produce the final construction report
- Evaluate all external stakeholders as well as the performance of subcontractors and suppliers
What profile and skills are required for this Site Construction Manager position ?
- You have at least 10 years' experience in new construction and revamping in the petrochemical and/or gas industry.
- You have significant experience in gas storage facilities.
- You have extensive experience in site management and in the preparation and monitoring of all types of work.
- You are familiar with French HSE regulations.
