In which structure will you work as Site HSE Manager?
We are hiring, on behalf of a major global engineering and energy-projects company, a Site HSE Manager to operate on a live production site within an Owner’s Engineering / Project Management Assistance framework.
Site HSE Manager: What will be your missions and responsibilities?
You ensure compliance with:

local regulations,
-
the client’s HSE requirements,
-
the contractor’s HSE management system.
You lead HSE meetings, review daily compliance, and propose operationally realistic HSE solutions that do not compromise safety.
Your main responsibilities include (non-exhaustive):

Implement HSE plans and procedures and ensure workforce awareness.

Verify subcontractors’ HSE plans and procedures before work starts.

Define the HSE programme (instructions, training, inspections, incentives).

Define and implement the environmental programme and waste management plan.

Ensure the emergency response plan is implemented and regularly tested.

Lead safety awareness campaigns and implement corrective action plans.

Promote accident reduction and severity minimisation.

Ensure adequate maintenance of site facilities and temporary equipment.

Conduct site HSE walkthroughs with subcontractors and enforce corrective actions.

Identify hazards, prevent unsafe operations, and coordinate stakeholders.

Prepare critical work phases with great care.

Maintain contact with local HSE authorities.

Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, report to Site Manager / Construction Manager / Client.

Produce and distribute a weekly HSE report for the client.

Support the client’s HSE Committee when necessary.

Ensure interface with client management and subcontractors.
What profile and skills are needed for this Site HSE Manager position?
Education
-
Bachelor or Master degree in HSE, QHSE, risk management, engineering or equivalent.

Certifications appreciated: NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
Experience
-
8+ years in HSE on industrial or energy sites.
-
Mandatory experience on live production sites.
-
Strong background in subcontractor management and site-level HSE coordination.
-
International project experience is a strong asset.
Skills
-
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk analysis and safety procedures.
-
Proficiency in emergency response, incident investigation, audits and inspections.
-
Excellent communication skills in safety briefings and HSE meetings.
-
Ability to enforce corrective actions and manage non-compliance.
-
Leadership, autonomy, problem-solving, strong field presence.
-
Fluent professional English is mandatory.
