What kind of company will you be joining as a site planner?

 

We are recruiting a site planner – OPC (M/F) on a permanent contract in Montoir-de-Bretagne (44) for a project management company operating in the industrial sector, particularly Oil & Gas and petrochemicals. You will join a site supervision team working on industrial construction and revamping projects.

 

Site planner – OPC: what will your responsibilities be?

 

Reporting to the project manager, your role will consist of planning, coordinating, and monitoring on-site activities in a demanding industrial environment.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Develop and monitor execution schedules (levels 3 and 4), integrating those of various contractors and disciplines
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities in collaboration with the supervision team
  • Participate in the management of revamping projects, particularly during planned shutdowns in operating conditions
  • Monitor construction progress as part of an integrated supervision team
  • Plan and follow up on procurement, shipments, and construction contracts
  • Take part in the pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases
  • Master engineering documentation related to construction projects
  • Ensure coordination of engineering studies and their integration into the global schedule
  • Use Primavera P6 and MS Project for operational planning

 

What profile and skills are needed for this site planner – OPC role?

 

Technical skills:

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas, petrochemical environments, and revamping projects under decree 92
  • Experience using project data management tools (PDB, VDBx, SDBx, GAIA)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Good understanding of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and related documentation

 

Soft skills:

  • Organizational skills, thoroughness, and the ability to manage complex projects
  • Stress resilience and autonomy in decision-making on site
  • Team spirit and ability to collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive mindset in a demanding environment

 

Profile:

  • Master’s degree (bac+5) – project or planning engineer
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing complex industrial projects, with solid field expertise
  • Significant experience in industrial revamping and site supervision is highly valued
