What kind of company will you be joining as a SolidWorks technical designer?
EP2C Energy is hiring a SolidWorks Technical Designer (M/F) to support one of its clients in carrying out technical studies and designing stainless steel industrial equipment. You will work in demanding industrial environments, with a particular focus on boiler and piping installations.
SolidWorks technical designer (M/F): What will your responsibilities be?
In collaboration with technical teams, you will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and 3D models for the manufacturing of industrial equipment, ensuring the accuracy of assemblies and compliance with industry standards.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out detailed technical studies using SolidWorks, in compliance with functional requirements, safety standards, and industrial constraints;
- Producing 2D and 3D drawings for the manufacturing of stainless steel equipment (pipes, tanks, supports, etc.);
- Designing and modeling parts and assemblies in 3D, with a particular focus on welded and piped assemblies;
- Creating complete assembly models, integrating accessibility, assembly, and fit-up constraints;
- Regularly updating drawings based on project evolution and production feedback;
- Collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and quality of installations.
- Accurate technical drawings (2D/3D)
- 3D models of parts and assemblies
- Modeled assemblies incorporating fit-up constraints
- Updated technical documentation throughout the project
- Proficiency with SolidWorks (3D modeling, assembly design, technical drawings);
- Knowledge of stainless steel materials and manufacturing processes (boilermaking, piping);
- Ability to read and produce detailed technical drawings;
- Understanding of industrial standards and assembly constraints
- Precision, autonomy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with production, installation, and quality teams
- Analytical mindset and ability to anticipate technical challenges
- Comfortable communicating with technical stakeholders (engineers, operators, etc.)
- Bachelor's to Master’s degree (Bac +3 to Bac +5) in industrial design, mechanical engineering, or equivalent
- Significant experience in designing industrial equipment, ideally in boilermaking or piping
- Previous experience in a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, chemical, etc.) is a plus
