In which organization will you be working as a Telecom Engineer? 

 

We are looking for a Telecom Engineer for one of our clients in the energy sector, based in La Défense. 

 

Telecom Engineer: What will your missions and responsibilities be? 

 

• Designing the architecture of telecommunication systems and block diagrams. 

• Writing technical specifications for telecommunication systems. 

• Monitoring material needs: cables, power distribution, etc. 

• Monitoring and managing interfaces with existing telecommunication systems. 

• Preparing telecommunication layout plans (CCTV, PAGA, etc.). 

• Conducting technical comparisons. 

• Corresponding with suppliers. 

• Reviewing and commenting on suppliers’ plans/documents. 

• Participating in factory acceptance tests (FAT). 

• Conducting technical reviews of supplier offers. 

• Validating installation aspects of telecommunication systems (quantities of cabinets, etc.). 

• Supervising and mentoring junior telecom engineers. 

 

What profile and skills are required for this Telecom Engineer position? 

 

• Proficiency in telecommunication systems: PAGA, HOT LINE, telephone systems, CCTV, UHF TETRA, VHF Marine, fiber optics, LAN network, Ship-to-Shore links, ACS, wireless systems, intrusion detection systems. 

• Good knowledge of telecom specifications in onshore LNG and Oil & Gas environments. 

• Knowledge of aspects related to the installation and validation of telecom systems. 

• Mastery of applicable international standards and norms: ISA, IEC, ATEX. 

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio) and AutoCAD. 

• Ability to report to the Lead.
