Which company will you be joining as a “T&I Engineer – Offshore Wind (M/F)”?

We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients, a "T&I Engineer (M/F)” for a 12-month renewable assignment based in Ile-de-France, France.  This mission is on a residential basis, with no option for rotation

 

“T&I Engineer (M/F)”:  What will your missions and responsibilities be?

ACTIVITIES

The service provider will participate in the development of the T&I engineering and execution preparation activities for the German Offshore Wind projects: NSE1, NSE2, and OSE.

Responsibilities include:

1. Strategic & Contractual Support

  • Support the package lead in refining and implementing the contractual strategy for T&I operations related to foundations (including equipment, noise mitigation, scour protection), turbines, and IAC in a complex offshore environment
  • Contribute to tendering processes, including bid preparation, evaluation, contractor negotiations, and award recommendations
  • Collaborate with C&P for final T&I contract awards and follow-up

2. Technical & Engineering Contribution

  • Review and validate technical specifications and employer’s requirements
  • Ensure design decisions and change management are validated through market engagement, cost-benefit studies, logistics assessments, weather downtime analysis, and risk evaluations
  • Contribute to the development of the project quality system and implement surveillance plans for contracted scopes
  • Provide support in procurement activities related to foundations (FOU) and IAC

3. Coordination & Interface Management

  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure effective collaboration during tendering and execution phases
  • Manage external technical interfaces with other project packages (WTG, FOU, IAC, O&M) and internal interfaces (permitting, certification, environmental teams)
  • Perform logistics studies and liaise with package managers to optimize equipment delivery for T&I installation
  • Maintain close coordination with the permitting team, ensuring compliance with German regulatory requirements

4. Safety, Ethics & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the development of the Project Safety Philosophy for construction, installation, and marshalling ports, and ensure contractor safety plans are effectively managed
  • Demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding HSSE rules, ethics, and the Company “Code of Conduct,” implementing and controlling these standards within the area of responsibility
  • Provide feedback to relevant departments to support continuous improvement initiatives

5. Additional Duties

  • Perform other tasks and assume additional responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the project management team

 

What profile and skills are required for this “T&I Engineer (M/F)” role?

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Engineering degree, preferably in Marine Engineering, Civil or Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: Proven experience in Offshore & Marine engineering related to offshore wind projects
  • T&I Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in offshore Transportation & Installation (T&I) activities related to OFW projects
  • Offshore Execution: Exposure to the offshore execution phase (fabrication and installation), ideally across all three areas: WTG, FOU, and IAC installation
  • Technical & Regulatory Knowledge: Previous experience in offshore wind operations, including familiarity with technical and safety regulations (preferably in Germany)
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Ability to work closely with various stakeholders, including international teams, contractors, subcontractors, affiliates, and HQ
  • Communication & Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills; effective communicator both in writing and verbally (English mandatory, German recommended); capable of developing and maintaining contractor relationships at the appropriate level
  • Planning & Documentation: Experience in issuing technical and execution plans and procedures related to T&I
  • Tender & Contract Support: Experience in preparing and following T&I-specific CFTs related to package awards to T&I contractors
  • Autonomy & Ownership: Ability to take ownership of projects and tasks, work independently, and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
