What kind of organization will you be joining as a Workshop Manager – Industrial Joinery ?

We are recruiting for our client, a well-established player in the roof window manufacturing industry, looking to hire a Workshop Manager for a newly created and strategic position in Dreux.

Workshop Manager : What will your main responsibilities be ?

As Workshop Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the production process and driving operational excellence. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Launching production orders: assessing feasibility, managing supply chain, and scheduling.
  • Implementing and maintaining a quality system internally and with suppliers.
  • Providing technical support to the sales team: advising, cost estimation, feasibility checks, and delivery monitoring.
  • Communicating with clients regarding after-sales service (SAV) and coordinating solutions with the multi-skilled technician.
  • Organizing transport logistics in collaboration with the warehouse manager.
  • Managing stocks of parts, chassis, accessories, and consumables.
  • Actively contributing to technical product improvement and development projects.
Main objectives :
  • Develop and manage tools to monitor quality, costs, and lead times.
  • Lead and support the team towards increased autonomy and continuous improvement.
 
What profile and skills are required for this Workshop Manager position ?

Education :
Technical degree (BTS, DUT, Engineering or equivalent) in production, mechanical or industrial engineering.

Experience :
At least 5 years in a similar role, ideally within industrial manufacturing or technical product environments.

Skills :
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and workshop management tools.
  • Understanding of quality systems (ISO, lean, continuous improvement).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work across teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Leadership and organizational capabilities to drive performance and autonomy.
  • Hands-on, structured, and proactive approach.
Salary & Benefits: Starting from €42,000 gross per year (depending on experience and profile).
