EP2C Energy is supporting its clients on the Kaminho project, with the final investment decision for this deepwater development in Angola made last May.
As the first major project of its kind in the Kwanza Basin, Kaminho involves converting a VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) into a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit, connected to a subsea well system.
Designed to significantly reduce environmental impact, this all-electric FPSO will eliminate routine flaring and fully reinject associated gas into the reservoir.
Production is expected to begin in 2028, with a plateau of 70,000 barrels of oil per day.
The project will generate nearly 10 million man-hours of work in Angola, mainly for offshore operations and local construction.
This collaboration represents a new milestone in EP2C’s international development.
