Which company will you be joining as a “Cargo Supervisor (M/F)”?
We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients, a "Cargo Supervisor (M/F)" with previous FPSO experience for a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. The position is based in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), on a 14x14 rotation. This opportunity is open to Brazilian nationals or professionals who are legally authorized to work in Brazil.
“Cargo Supervisor (M/F)” What will your missions and responsibilities be?
Position Summary:
The Cargo Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all cargo and marine operations onboard FPSOs/FSOs. This includes offloading with shuttle tankers, cargo transfer with support vessels, ballast operations, tank cleaning (COW), diving operations, and pull-in/pull-out campaigns. The role ensures compliance with international maritime standards (SOLAS, ISM, MARPOL, IMO) and company HSEQ-MS, while maintaining the readiness of all lifesaving equipment.

- Supervise and coordinate cargo handling and marine operations
- Manage ballast and tank cleaning activities
- Ensure compliance with IMO/ISM/Marpol/SOLAS
- Oversee lifesaving equipment readiness
- Support drills and emergency response
- Mandatory Trainings (R): CBSP, CESS, TICB, CERR, GMDSS, ESOG, ESOP
What profile and skills are required for this “Cargo Supervisor (M/F)” role?
Requirements:
- Education: Marine background (Deck Officer, Chief Mate, Master Mariner)
- Experience: 8–10 years in offshore marine ops, 3–5 years as Cargo Supervisor
- Skills: Cargo handling, ballast ops, tank cleaning (COW), lifesaving appliances, marine safety
- Language: English intermediate/advanced
- Certificates: STCW, BOSIET/CBSP
