Which company will you be joining as a “OFFSHORE PRODUCTION ENGINEER (M/F)”?

We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients in the Oil & Gas industry, an “OFFSHORE PRODUCTION ENGINEER (M/F)” for a long-term contract based in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).  

A 2x2 rotation schedule is available.

 
“OFFSHORE PRODUCTION ENGINEER (M/F)” What will your missions and responsibilities be?

Context of the mission

Responsible for optimizing well and asset performance, supervising daily operations, and driving projects and process improvements. Requires strong problem-solving, reporting, and proactive self-starter skills. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily production operations and reporting
  • Troubleshoot and optimize oil & gas production, including artificial lift systems
  • Perform well diagnostics, process analysis, and identify performance improvements
  • Plan and monitor well surveillance and improvement projects
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engineering for operational excellence
  • Lead problem-solving, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Control production materials, chemicals, and costs
  • Support change management and participate in incident investigations
 

What profile and skills are required for this “OFFSHORE PRODUCTION ENGINEER (M/F)” role?

Key Requirements – Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience as a Production Engineer or relevant experience as a Field Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry
  • BSc, MSc, or higher in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of physics, fluid mechanics, mechanical engineering, Oil & Gas processes, and well production troubleshooting and analysis
  • Proficiency in English and Portuguese
  • Comfortable working across disciplines and performing hands-on/manual activities
  • Proactive with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (VBA programming is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
