We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients in the Oil & Gas industry, an “OFFSHORE PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT (M/F)” for a long-term contract based in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).  

A 2x2 rotation schedule is available.
 

“OFFSHORE PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT (M/F)” What will your missions and responsibilities be?

Context of the mission
The Offshore Project Superintendent will oversee the planning and execution of topside projects on the platform. This role covers construction activities involving process piping, static and rotating equipment, structural works, E&I, and painting. 

The position requires close collaboration with the OIM, Maintenance and Production Supervisors, the Integrity and Project Departments, as well as onshore specialists, support teams, vendors, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all project activities on the platform, from planning to execution, ensuring safe and efficient delivery
• Act as focal point for offshore campaigns and coordinate with onshore teams
• Plan, prioritize, and supervise construction tasks across piping, equipment, structures, E&I, and painting
• Manage contractors, core crew, and material stocks (via SAP) to support project needs
• Conduct site and equipment inspections, prepare risk assessments, and ensure compliance with EHS standards
• Support shutdown coordination, provide technical input on construction methods, and anticipate future project phases to minimize production losses
• Lead team development through training, coaching, and performance management
• Report on progress, challenges, and operational efficiency to management

 

What profile and skills are required for this “OFFSHORE PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT (M/F)” role?

Key Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Construction, or Naval Engineering, or equivalent technical certification
• Proven offshore/onshore construction experience, ideally as a campaign focal point
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, manufacturing methods, and industry standards (API, DNV, AWS, ASM, NR regulations, etc.)
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English; SAP experience required
• Solid understanding of piping, structural components, scaffolding, blasting/painting, rigging, welding, rope access, and topside equipment
• Familiarity with project management principles and oil & gas production facilities
• Experience with international companies and mature fields considered an asset
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (Navy, ANP, IBAMA, IBP)
• Strong professional track record supported by references
