Senior Subsea Contract Engineer (EPC) – SPS, Transportation & Installation, UFR, SURF Packages (M/F) 

Which company will you be joining as a “Senior Subsea Contract Engineer (M/F)”?


We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients, a “Senior Subsea Contract Engineer (M/F)” for a 12-month renewable contract based in Paris (France) with the option for occasional remote work.


“Senior Subsea Contract Engineer (M/F)”:  What will your missions and responsibilities be?

Activities
Senior Contract Engineer – Subsea Projects:
  • Support contract and procurement activities for capital projects
  • Advise and execute complex contract documentation (CCFT, OBE/OBT, FEED+)
  • Develop packages: commercial structure, contract terms
  • Launch & manage qualifications, exceptions, and negotiations
  • Evaluate bids and recommend awards
  • Promote claim prevention and support project approvals
Contract Engineering Reference:
  • Define and coordinate contract methods and tools
  • Coach and train contract engineers
  • Ensure governance and recurrent contact with project teams
  • Represent the company in project reviews
Coordination:
  • Share information and coordinate actions across ongoing projects
  • Ensure alignment between legal and project needs
Claims & Counterclaims Support:
  • Analyze and review contracts/claims; provide expertise and recommendations
  • Investigate major claims/disputes; assist in building claim dossiers
  • Draft correspondences and notices to contractors
 Continuous Improvement:
  • Consolidate contract REX / lessons learned for knowledge sharing
 

What profile and skills are required for this “Senior Subsea Contract Engineer (M/F)” role?

Required Skills
  • Ability to manage heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
  • English proficiency
  • Sharing of information, lessons learned, and strong communication skills
  • Claim Management
  • Contract preparation, CFT, negotiation, and administration
  • Knowledge of project phases, including experience as package contract engineer
  • Ability to work with complexity and challenging stakeholders
  • EPC contract experience (15 years dedicated to projects)
  • Ability to influence and manage across functions
  • French proficiency
  • Subsea packages for offshore projects
  • Communication, and networking skills
