Home Office Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up

We are looking, on behalf of one of our clients in the energy sector, for a Home Office Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up, who will be based in Nanterre and then on-site in England.

 

Home Office Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up: What will your duties and responsibilities be?

 

Responsible for the home office (Paris) preparation of PCCSU (Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up) activities for the Instrumentation/System/Telecom scope, followed by execution on site. Reporting to the Instrumentation/System Commissioning Manager.

 

Home Office Phase (Paris):

• Coordination with the engineering disciplines (instrumentation, system, telecom) to integrate PC&C requirements into detailed design
• Drafting/updating static and dynamic commissioning strategies and procedures (loop checks, functional tests)
• Support in developing the pre-commissioning/commissioning sequence
• Identification of temporary instrumentation needs and support for specialized vendors/subcontractors
• Travel to be expected: Teesside site (UK) and a Chinese construction site

Site Phase:

• Supervision of the Instrumentation Commissioning team and subcontractors (under the lead of the ICSS Manager)
• Authorization of instrumentation/system isolations/de-isolations
• Use of EASYPLANT (Technip Energies tool) for commissioning tracking
• Supervision of functional tests (instrumentation, control systems, analyzers)
• Proactive management of punch lists, support for field troubleshooting
• Complete technical documentation (as-built dossiers, reports, turnover to Operations)

What profile and skills are needed for this Home Office Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up position?

• Proven home office + site experience in instrumentation/control-command commissioning: PLC, F&G, telecom, analyzers
• Experience starting up rotating machinery: steam boilers, steam/gas turbines, mechanical drives
• Ability to coordinate with Electrical, Piping, Mechanical
• Proven team leadership, ability to coach junior profiles
• Fluent English required
• Tools: MS Office, PDF/Bluebeam, 3D tools; knowledge of Icaps/Easyplant a plus
