Instrumentation Design Engineer

Where will you work as an Instrumentation Design Engineer (M/F) ?

 

We are seeking an experienced instrumentation design engineer for one of our clients in the energy sector. The candidate will be based in Lyon to reinforce the engineering team and contribute to the completion of part of the instrumentation design for a specific project.  

 

 

Instrumentation Design Engineer (M/F): What will your duties and responsibilities be?

 

As an Instrumentation Design Engineer (M/F), you will work on an energy project to support an existing team and will be responsible for conducting detailed instrumentation studies to develop construction and as-built documentation. You will have technical responsibility for the designs from their initial conception through to the updating of documentation. Working closely with managers from other disciplines (process, electrical, automation, mechanical, piping, etc.), you will ensure the technical consistency and integration of the solutions proposed for the project. Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Update PID diagrams
• Conduct on-site surveys for integration (regular travel required)
• Compile a list of materials
• Consult with suppliers
• Collaborate with other trades
• Provide reports to the engineering department
• Issue documents

 

What profile and skills are required for this position of Instrumentation Design Engineer (M/F) ?

 

• You have at least 8 years of experience in the field of industrial instrumentation.
• You possess the technical skills needed to analyze, validate, and monitor design studies, installations, and field work. A strong understanding of loop diagrams, measurement techniques, instrumentation networks, and control systems would be a major asset.
• You are comfortable collaborating with external suppliers, contractors, and various internal project teams (maintenance, operations, engineering, automation, and project management).
• You hold RC2 and H0/B2V electrical certifications.
• Your english and french level allows you to understand documentation and communicate with suppliers.
• Ideally, you are proficient in modifying—or even creating—diagrams in AutoCAD.
