Site Quality Coordinator

We are looking for a Site Quality Coordinator on behalf of one of our clients in the energy sector, based in La Rochelle.

 

Site Quality Coordinator: What will your duties and responsibilities be?

The site quality manager ensures Quality Control (QC) through planned and documented inspections, verifying that construction work complies with the project's quality procedures. They also oversee Quality Assurance (QA): training supervisory teams, conducting audits, tracking corrective action requests (CAR) and non-conformance reports (NCR), and driving continuous improvement.

 

Their responsibilities notably include:

• Developing the site quality plan; supervising the quality team (QC engineers, QA engineers, welding/NDT engineers, chief quality inspectors, discipline controllers, certification engineers, and administrative staff);
• training and raising staff awareness of quality requirements;
• reviewing and approving contractors' plans/procedures;
• day-to-day interface with contractors;
• document management (quality records, inspection and test records);
• coordination with external inspection bodies;
• monitoring the effectiveness of the site's Quality Management System (QMS) through audits and reviews; developing site quality KPIs; preparing final documentation for mechanical completion;
• identifying and reporting major quality deviations;
• drafting weekly/monthly progress reports.

What profile and skills are required for this Site Quality Coordinator position?

• Minimum 10 years' experience in revamping work in the petrochemical industry
• Significant experience in quality monitoring for revamping work in the petrochemical or chemical industry
• Very good knowledge of petrochemical industry equipment
• Proficiency in preparing work acceptance files and regulatory documentation
• Management of quality file tracking and non-conformance cases
• Good familiarity with the use of engineering documentation
• Certifications: GIES 1 / GIES 2 / ATEX Level 0 / Scaffolding use / Scaffolding inspection
